For the first time, Cargo will have 2 teams competing in the USMC Mud Run slated for September 25th in Columbia, South Carolina. Seasoned veterans, "Team Mud, Sweat and Beers" have challenged Cargo's new team, "The Minions", daring them to beat the agency record for Columbia's course. A few runners from both sides have begun training in various ways, ranging from weekend hikes to office printer sprints. Look for a another challenge in the weeks leading up to race day as both Cargonian teams throw down the gauntlet to South Carolina's advertising agencies.

It’s hard to believe that Rob and Jan have explored 25 National Parks since their departure in May, but the proof speaks for itself. Photos, videos and blog entries chronicle the Sprinter Tour's cross-country journey through the deserts of the Southwest into the lush forests of the West Coast. And with only 25 of 50 National Parks checked off the list, the Sprinter Tour is only warming up.

Currently, The Sprinter Tour has its compass pointed North to the wilderness of 4 Alaskan National Parks; Glacier Bay, Wrangell-St. Ellis, Kenai Fjords and Denali. Then Rob and Jan will head back to the continental United States to visit the Midwest and East Coast National Parks on the Sprinter Tour's itinerary.

Originally the trip mileage was estimated around 20565 miles, but after a few wrong turns and a few "around the bend" photo opportunities, the couple will probably exceed that prediction. But Facebook and Twitter fans don't fault them for it as long as someone snaps an extra photo. They look forward to seeing the "Photo of the Day" in their Facebook new stream, and love when Rob and Jan steal a second to write and post a blog entry or a clever tweet. And the conversations on these social media platforms go both ways. Fan interactions actively shape the outcome of each park visit, providing Rob and Jan with trail tips and must-see-views that can't be found in a guidebook.

And speaking of must-see-views, Team Cargo recently launched the new "Terra Fly-By" function on Sprintertour.com as well as a few important site updates. These updates funnel the various conversations from the social media platforms onto the homepage, simplifying the visitor experience. Check it out, see what you think and send a tweet to the Cargonian Team.

You can follow the Sprinter Tour and interact with Rob and Jan on Facebook and Twitter.
